Shelter Boxes Go To Nepal

Ampthill & District Rotary Club has purchased 4 Shelter Boxes this year which are in transit to Nepal. Another £590 has been donated to buy Shelter kits.

What ShelterBox are doing for Nepal:

-     There were 53 ShelterBoxes  already on standby in Nepal. These were given to the Goverment for immediate use as hospitals.

-     1500 ShelterBoxes are in transit to Nepal and 3 partner agencies will ensure they reach those people in need - some have already cleared customs.

-     500 UN specification tents have cleared customs and are on their way to those in greatest need.

-     500 ShelterKits have been despatched and over 2000 are waiting to leave their depot in Cornwall. These are given to people whose homes have been damaged giving them and their families shelter and the tools to make repairs. The Shelter kits include essential tools and materials to contribute to the construction of a basic household shelter or to make rapid repairs to a damaged home.
