Visit of Schowen-Duiveland to Esk Valley 2015

Esk Valley had a most enjoyable and very busy weekend with our friends from the Rotary Club of Schouwen-Duiveland from12-14 June 2015. This exchange has been going since 2004.

After picking our guests up at the airport we had a very enjoyable lunch at President Geoff’s house where the sun was shining. In the evening we then had a running dinner which was great fun, travelling to different houses for starter and main courses, then ending up at Grant and Elaine’s house for the pudding course. Lots of delicious food and drink was consumed.

An early start to Saturday with various activities on offer, golf, walking, shopping and sightseeing in Edinburgh and the Lothians. In the afternoon, we had a Literary Tour of the Southside, and the evening was rounded off with a lovely meal at the Apex in the Grassmarket.

We said a sad farewell to our guests with a farewell coffee and pastries at Stuart and Audrey’s house on sunday morning.

An excellent weekend was had by all, and we are already looking forward to coming over to Holland next year.
