Job Talk - Dori Beeler

Thu, Aug 13th 2015 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

New member Dori told us something of her working life and her involvement with Rotary ...

In fact, she joined the Rotary Club of Lake Elsinore in California back in 2002, rapidly taking on a number of roles including the Presidency.  In 2008 she lead a Rotary Friendship Exchange visit to Yorkshire - and fell in love with life in the UK!  So much so that she decided to live here and to continue her studies at Durham University, becoming a member of the Rotary Club of Northallerton Mowbray before transferring her membership to our Club earlier this year.  Dori has visited our Club on a number of occasions and we certainly welcome her knowledge and experience of Rotary - she is now one of our speaker finders!

Dori went on to describe the work she and her husband are doing to develop a social enterprise organisation aimed at improving nutrition education for children and young people.  It's a complex story and we wish her well in her endeavours.
