At the start of the meeting, President Rod introduced two Community Police Officers, who offered their services to the Club to assist in any activities such as marshalling which the Club may need in the future. It was agreed that they will be invited to the Club to speak about their roles in the Community at a later date. Also attending was Assistant Governor Steve Martin from the RC of Neston who spoke appreciatively of our Club’s Activities in the District.

Barry and Ann Evans will be flying out to Kathmandu on January 14th for the official opening of our new orphanage, Charlotte’s Haven on Earth, which is in memory of their daughter Charlotte.

Mike Houlston gave  report on the Christmas stating that £4200 was raised over the collection period, he suggested that a subcommittee should investigate how the Float should operate next year, in view of the ageing profile of members and also to discuss the need for additional work to be carried out on the Float.

President gave a brief rundown on the Christmas Grotto at the Bookshop, which raised only £550 and discussions will be held on its future as a Community Project.

Michael Parrott gave an update on the ‘Handbag of Harmonies’ Concert at The Civic Hall Nantwich
Friday 12 February 2016 and urged members to invite their friends along for the evening.
