President's Weekend (RNLI Headquarters, Poole, Dorset), 6th to 8th March 2015

Fri, May 6th 2016 at 3:45 pm- Sun, May 8th 2016 - 11:00 am

Carole and Roger have organised the 2016's "President's Weekend" at the RNLI Headquartes & College in Poole. The accommodation overlooks the harbour and is just 5 minutes' walk from the town centre and the Old Town harbour-side is just 10 minutes away.

All rooms have harbour views and there is secure car parking. The facilities are very modern and are used for training RNLLI life-boat volunteers through the week and are available for funcions, weddings and groups like ours over the weekends.

The town has both modern and old shops but the Old Town by th harbour has interesting small shops, a free Museum and with its narrow streets is very picturesque. From the Old Town Quay you can get a ferry over to the National Trust's Brownsea Island where the Scout movement was founded.

Carol and Roger have also arranged a tour of the RNLI facility on Saturday morning showing what life-boat men and women volunteers are put through in their training.

The weekend is based on 2 nights, arriving at leisure on Friday afternoon and departing Sunday morning. The total price includes Bed, Breakfast plus Dinner with a bottle of wine per couple both evenings and the RNLI College Discovery tour.

On the Staruday evening we will have a more formal dinner in a separate dining room, hence its gents in black-tie (regalia, etc.) and ladies in posh frocks.

Carol and Roger very much look forward to Club members company in Poole next May.
