Annual Charity Golf Day 2016
Malvern Rotary Club's Charity golf day attracted 21 teams who enjoyed a fine day at the Worcestershire Golf Club. For the first time a car was on offer for a hole in one at the Par 3 third hole, kindly sponsored by Baylis Vauxhall in Worcester.
Neil Moon, Sales Manager for Baylis Vauxhall Worcester said, "it was great to be involved in a day when the local community was going to benefit. We are really pleased to support the Malvern Rotary Club in it's efforts to help others. It was a pity someone didn't win the car, the closest tee shot came to rest just two feet away."
Close to £3000 was raised for local charities with Acorns being the main beneficiary.
Rotary President Bruce Bannister Harding thanked all teams for taking part and presented prizes to the winners who were:
Men's. Hereford Hackers
Veterans. The Can Makers
Ladies and mixed. Little Angels +One
Overall. Well under Par
He also thanked the generosity of those who sponsored holes, namely Keystone Roofing Supplies, Schmersal (2 holes), B W Financial Planning and Parallel Property Agents (3 holes). "Without this support, we would not be in a position to put on such a wonderful day and raise so much for local causes."
