Kay McKenzie and Jean Maddock were the joint speakers at last Thursday's meeting of the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw. Both women have a lifelong connection to the Boys Brigade and, in particular, 7th Motherwell Company which was attached to the former South Dalziel church. Their new company is 7/16, part of Motherwell South Church. Their talk was interspersed with slides of the boys enjoying the many facets of the annual camps. Cooking for 30 boys plus officers is a military operation and the ladies showed what they did. What was interesting to the members was the boys after supper each night are given a menu for the next day which allowed the Kay and Jean to plan the food for the next day.
