"‹Rising bowls star Ajay Morphett gets new trophy!
Rising bowls star Ajay Morphett who plays for Egerton Indoor Bowls Club and Spartan had a surprise visit from the Rotary Club of Senlac. Ajay had won a trophy in the Sussex County Fours championship in the 2013/14 season. Sadly, Mum dropped and broke it. Ajay was devastated but could not afford a replacement. The Rotary Club of Senlac heard of his plight and arranged for a replacement which they presented to him in a surprise visit to Egerton Indoor Bowls Club. Not only did the club replace the trophy but they also presented him with a cheque for £215 towards the costs of travelling to bowls venues across the country in his hope of achieving National selection. Ajay has recently been selected as a reserve for the England under 25 trial.
In May 2016, Ajay was selected to represent England at the British Isles Indoor Bowls Council (BIIBC) Mixed U18s International Series.
