Dinner and speaker at the Baron

Wed, Jan 25th 2017 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Tonight we welcomed Michael Griffiths from Oswestry Rotary Club to tell us about the Guildford Eye Project....

After an enjoyable dinner we settled down to hear more about this very interesting project based in India. The name Guildford is applied because John Miles of the Guildford Rotary Club encouraged members, both locally and nationwide, to get involved in building eye hospitals in Indian cities. These allow free treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment and more to the more than 40 million poor that cannot afford it. A successful project and each £5 donation is grant matched up to £15 - a very worthwhile charity to support. The Guildford Eye Project website will give you more details.....
