Appointments for the year 2017/18 and presentation of Accounts for year ended 30th June 2016 presented by Treasurer Ian Dochard



St Andrews Rotary Club held their Annual Special General Meeting in the Scores Hotel with Club President John Ardley in the chair. Club Treasurer Ian Dochard presented the Club Accounts for year to 30th June 2016. In his report he highlighted the fact that the club had been most generously supported by the general public and local businesses. As a result the club had donated £15500 to support young people in the community, deserving charities and organisations locally, in the U.K. and Overseas. In addition the club had expended the sum of £3800 sponsoring local events including the Schools Debating competition and Quizzes, Camp Ryla, Euroscola Elderly and Disabled Entertainment, Kids Out, Young Writers Competition and Young Chef of the Year.Bill Whyte Convener to the International Golf Committee reported on a very successful International Golf Competition donating £5000 to the Club Benevolent Fund.Officials elected for the Rotary Year 2017-18 were as follows; President - Gordon Wowk, Senior Vice-President - Kim Keble-White, Junior Vice-President - to be appointed, Treasurer - Ian Dochard Executive Secretary - John Black, Club Secretary - Austin Dunn, Members of Council - Rob Dougan, Hamish Tait, Angela Fowlis, Karen Robson, George Ferguson and Kathleen Thain.
