Current Activities
1.Chess tournaments in Primary and Secondary schools in Wensleydale
2.Schools Technology Tournament
3.President's Christmas Card Project at Wensleydale School
4.Practice Interviews at Wensleydale School
5.Funding for Wensleydale School and all its feeder Primary Schools to enable disadvantaged pupils to attend extra-curricular activities/courses etc, which would otherwise be denied them.
6.Listening to young readers in primary schools- Members regularly visit four Primary Schools in the Dale to hear children reading and help them progress. Much valued by the children, teachers, and Rotarians!
7.Kids Out- taking disabled children to join others from all over Yorkshire for a day out at Lightwater Valley
Possible future projects
1.RYLA (Rotary Young Leadership Awards) - funding and taking young people to Rotary Leadership courses with an excellent reputation.
2.Laura Crane Trust- Research funding and assistance for young cancer sufferers
3.Rotary Young Chef competition
4.Rotary Youth Speaks- a public speaking competition
