Beaconsfield Country Fayre is organised by the Friends of St Mary’s Church and local charities including Rotary Club of Beaconsfield. Over the past 10 years this event has raised over £100,000. All money raised is distributed to local charities, thus ensuring that a fun day out for all the family generates much needed funds for the local community.
The Beaconsfield Country Fayre has become an annual event for the whole family on August Bank Holiday Monday. This year's event is on Monday 29th August 2022 from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. Entry is free. The event attracts 5,000-6,000 people and is held adjacent to St Mary's Church at Windsor End, Beaconsfield Old Town.
The Stretcher Race is the main event of the Country Fayre and focuses on competing teams raising sponsorship funding, whilst providing great entertainment for spectators as they watch four stretcher bearers carry a fifth, all of whom are in fancy dress, around a grueling course of seven pubs. And for the budding athletes, there is of course the Children’s Stretcher race where teams of four carry a Teddy Bear patient along a short course along Windsor End.
Rotary Club of Beaconsfield will be organising a BBQ.
Other attractions this year include a giant inflatable slide, climbing wall, numerous craft and food stalls, a great balloon race and other children’s entertainment, Kids Go-Karts, kids petting zoo, junior grand prix circuit with go-karts and a Bucking Bronco Ride.
