Rotary Santa Sleigh Runs

The Rotary Club of Brightlingsea & District bring joy to children of all ages and raise funds for local charities with their annual Santa Sleigh runs which take place throughout December.

Brightlingsea & District's Santa Sleigh Runs

Club members please log in for more information.

From early December Santa, Rudolf and Prancer join the Rotary elves for their fun and fundraising visits to streets in Brightlingsea, Wivenhoe, Great Bentley, Alresford and Elmstead Market, appearing between 6pm and 8pm.  Children of all ages keep their eyes peeled for the sight of Rudolf's bright red nose coming into view and then rush out into the gardens and onto the pavement to wave hello to Santa and drop their pennies into the elves' collecting boxes.

Thanks to the generosity of the community thousands of pounds are raised each year to support local causes.  Several of the evening runs are organised in association with local organisations such as Brightlingsea In Bloom, 4 Youth and Alresford Primary School PTA, and on these evenings the funds raised are shared with the partner groups.  If your group would like to partner with us on one of these evenings in the future please contact Club Secretary Fiona Brown on fiona.brown@fionabrown.com.

Details of the current year's sleigh runs will be posted in our events section.
