In 2017 the 27th annual Wellingborough Rotary Music Festival takes place in March at secondary schools around the borough and at Castle Theatre.
The festival takes place in Spring each year and is for young musicians from 6 to 18 years of age performing in and around Wellingborough.
The 2017 festival will run from March 3rd to March 10th with the celebratory Festival Concert at Castle Theatre Wellingborough on Wednesday March 15th. Music of all types can be heard during the festival. There are Instrumental and Vocal classes for soloists, duets, ensembles and larger groups. Participation in the festival is a great confidence builder for musicians and is a huge opportunity not just to play and sing music but to get it heard by an audience. The ethos of the festival is to encourage enjoyment and performance of music at all levels. The concert features winners from many of the classes as well as other outstanding performers. This celebration of all that is best in musical performances by young musicians of Wellingborough is a treat that should not be missed.
