H&R: Jim Peat & Jim Robertson
VoT: Charles Keeper

Tonight night, President Andrew Murray give his Presidential Address to the members of the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw, but, the evening started with two important matters of Rotary business.

First, Pres. Andrew presented Immediate Past President James Gibbons with his Presidential jewel marking his year of office.

Andrew then had the great privilege of inducting a new member into the fellowship of Rotary. New Rotarian, Michele Gray, works with the Citizen Advice Bureau, in Motherwell, where she manages a project to get the long term unemployed back into employment.

The winner of the weekly bonus ball was James Gibbons and Past President Paul Begley gave a final report on the success of the summer Pigeon Derby races and confirmed that the final sum raised was £638.

In his address, President Andrew advised members that, as a Club, we must adapt and build for the future. He mentioned some of the keynote areas that he wanted to develop and they were as follows - continue to develop the speaker programme, a revolutionary approach to the Annual Burns supper, membership is key, new club manual, new international and local projects and to develop further opportunities for secondary aged schoolchildren.
