Dr Donald Stewart FRPS

Tue, May 15th 2018 at 5:45 pm - 7:45 pm

Speaker: Donald Stewart of the Rotary Club of Carnegie Dunfermline. Welcome team: Bob Henderson (Room), John Kerr (Grace), Duncan Pickard (VoT).
A single-issue Council meeting will follow.

Dr Donald Stewart spoke to us following an excellent supper, which included a starter of wild haggis wrapped in filo pastry. As the photograph shows, the haggis originated from an area of standing stones ...

Donald presented his photographs of the installations by the War Office to protect the country from invasion by the Germans in World War 2. His impressive photographs were taken from the coast of Fife to Orkney and should be preserved as a record of these structures, most of which have been left as they were constructed. Dr Stewart’s enthusiastic presentation of his subject was appreciated by us all.
