Welsh Language Youth Speaks

We sponsor the National Final which is held every December at Y Senedd in Cardiff Bay.

This is a schools debating competition which is held across the district for teams in the medium of Welsh. The top four from each semi final held in the West and the East meet for the final which is held in Siambr Hywel at the National Assembly. Siambr Hywel is a dedicated youth debating chamber.

The competition involves teams of three, comprising a Chair, a Proposer and an Opposer, who have about 5 minutes each to debate a topic of their choice.

Cardiff Bay have sponsored the event for the past ten years and are delighted to have this opportunity to showcase such talented young people.
