We would like thank the artists who donated artwork for this exciting project Their names are against each of the pictures above.

The pictures above are of over 200 original artworks which were exhibited on 24th and 25th August, and then offered for sale for only £40 each, on 25th August as part of this exciting project.

The Stroud Valleys and its surrounding area support an exceptionally wide range of creative talent. Nailsworth Rotary Club recognises this and celebrated it by organising an Exhibition and Sale of original artwork, donated by known and up-and-coming artists from the art community.

The free exhibition of the artwork was held in Stroud Subscription Rooms on Friday 24 August (10:00am - 5:00pm) and Saturday 25 August (10:00am - 1:00pm), and the art was sold during the afternoon of 25th (2:00pm-5:00pm).

The public was invited to view the exhibition and try to recognise their favourite artists, as artwork was only signed on the back. Once the sale starts, all works were sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event built on the very successful Spot The Artist Charity Art Sale which has been run by the Rotary Club of St Ives for several years.

Over the past ten years Nailsworth Rotary Club has raised over £145,000 for local, national and international charities. Once again all of the net proceeds from the art sold at this event will be given to charitable causes – 50% will be used to support the Stroud art community and 50% will go to Rotary charities.
