Rotary and Academy plant 350 trees

Ending Polio, supporting climate change or just loving the world we live in - Rotary and Academy plant 350 trees

Rotary and Academy plant 350 trees

A dozen members of the Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright, together with local  nurseryman Rob Asbridge of Buckland Plants, yesterday assisted first year pupils of Kirkcudbright Academy to establish a small amenity woodland using trees supplied by the Woodland Trust.  Approximately 350 trees of 14 different native species were planted on public land near to Kirkcudbright Academy. The pupils learned planting techniques and discussed the role of tree guards in tree protection and establishement.

Amazingly, no Rotarians were injured during the operation.
