We hosted a pop up shop for 6 days with partners from the Carlisle Dementia Action Alliance, Alzheimer's Society, NHS Memory & Later Life Services, Age UK and Cumbria Library Service. This provided advice, friendly chats and leaflets. Along with other Dementia Friends Champions we facilitated Dementia Friends Awareness Sessions for the public. There was also the launch of a new Dementia film at Tullie House.
We held 2 further Dementia Friends Sessions and film launch nights at Longtown and Harraby community centres.
The local Singing for the Brain Choir sang in the Lanes on Thursday afternoon.
During the week we had 217 contacts in the pop up shop, created 31 new Dementia Friends, had over 700 interactions across the city and many organisations are interested in helping us become a more dementia friendly city.
