Rotary Christmas Shoeboxes

Spreading a little happiness at Christmas thanks to our local schools and supporters

We are pleased that our local schools are continuing to support us, despite the curent difficulties, in our endeavours to donate brightly wrapped shoeboxes containing wonderful gifts to children with disabilities and those from socially vulnerable families, in Eastern Europe.

We have collected 180 boxes from local schools and friends of Rotary and have checked the contents to make sure they do not contain any disallowed objects.  The boxes will then be taken to a local depot in Bournemouth where they are loaded onto delivery lorries. The boxes will then transported 1800 miles by road to Romania, Moldova, Albania and Montenegro. We use Rotary Clubs in these countries, and other trusted partners, to distribute the boxes to the children in need.

Together we make people happy by bringing a little magic into their Christmas.
