Our speaker this year is Rt. Hon Sir Michael Fallon MP for Sevenoaks. Sir Michael was first elected as an MP in 1983 for Darlington and was elected for Sevenoaks in 1997. He has served in the governments of four Prime Ministers, latterly as Business and Energy Minister (2012-14) and Secretary of State for Defence (2014-17). Sir Michael has had a varied career in business and is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Investcorp Ltd., non-executive chairman of Avanton Ltd and non-executive director of Infinite Percent Ltd.
