Domino Tournament

Thu, Jan 23rd 2020 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A relaxing (!) evening for members with a recreational (?) dominoes tournament.

On Thursday evening President Linden Warburton welcomed Members to the weekly meeting at Mansfield House Hotel. After the meal, Tommy Mulvee organised a dominoes competition. This was keenly contested, and the final between Ron Sutherland and Scott Elliot resulted in a win for Scott Elliot.

In the next round of the District Quiz between Rotary Clubs, Hawick have a home tie against Eyemouth, which will take place on 6th February.

Advance notice of our own Annual Charity Quiz night, with proceeds in aid of the Cycling Without Age trishaw project, to be held in The Bridge Function Room on 14th February. Entry is £12 per team of four and any further information needed can be obtained from Ron Smith on 07774 113066.

The Area Final of Rotary's Young Musician competition will be held at Selkirk High School on Friday 7th February and Hawick will be represented by two candidates, Patrick Friell on piano, and singer Ellis Hodgins.
