COVID 19 VIRUS - ALL MEETINGS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

From:

President David Weston
President Elect Roger Pollock
Secretary Mike Green

In response to the rapidly changing situation re COVID-19, the advise from Public Health England and also taking into account our own duty of care to our members we have held a meeting at the Golf Club with Linda to assess the viability of continuing our weekly meetings.

Regrettably we have come to the inevitable conclusion that it was not possible to continue with our meetings and, at the same time, safeguard  our members from the virus and therefore, reluctantly, have decided that, with immediate effect, our meetings, together with the Quiz Night and Presidents Evening will be postponed until further notice.

Please note that the following Rotary events have also been cancelled or postponed:
18th March    Britt Valley Sports Night
19th March    District Quiz
21st March    District Forum. This will no longer be a physical meeting but will be held via Zoom, an online Conferencing software. Details to be made available with the invitation shortly.
13th May      Volunteer Expo Postponed till 7th / 9th May 2021

I will try to keep you updated with information via email as and when received. Please keep me informed of anything you would like to share with other club members, which I can pass on.

It is vital that, over the following uncertain weeks, we look out for one another other in the true Spirit of Rotary.

Regards,

Mike Green
Secretary Bridport Rotary Club
