Caitlin Bell is a soprano from Dumfries, who has been studying with Judith Howarth at the University of Aberdeen for the past 4 years.
A versatile and experienced performer Caitlin has performed internationally at prestigious venues all around the world including St Stephen’s Cathedral, The Royal Albert Hall, The Grand Teton Music Festival and most recently Carnegie Hall all within the National Youth Choir of Scotland.
As well as being a confident and able choral singer, Caitlin has performed in a number of operatic and musical theatre roles to date, these include: The Beggar Woman (Sweeney Todd), Frasquita (Carmen), Gianetta ( The Gondoliers), Jenny (The Threepenny Opera), multiple characters in newly commissioned operas by Aberdeen composer Joe Stollery, Chorus and Countess Cover (The Marriage of Figaro), Iolanthe (Iolanthe) and Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica) along side this she had the pleasure of being part of The Young Artist Programme at Waterperry Opera Festival last summer.
Outwith operatic works, Caitlin has performed and prepared a number of soprano solos including Haydn’s Nelson Mass, Dona Nobis Pacem, Mozart’s Requiem and Serenade to Music the soprano solo in Brahms Requiem with the University of Aberdeen Choral Society.
