Eco Greenhouse for Clifford All Saints Primary School
The Eco Bottle Greenhouse project helps schools meet National Curriculum guidelines. Making a greenhouse from 2 litre plastic bottles is a great way to turn 'waste' into something really useful as well as teaching children about the imporatnce of recycling plastics.
It's going to take some effort, but the end result will be an eco-friendly building which will allow the children to grow their own fruit, vegetables and garden plants for years to come - and at a fraction of the economic or energy costs of a traditional glasshouse.
Rotarians, children from the school and their families collected over 1600 plastic bottles for the project which is now completed!
Time has also been spent clearing the overgrown garden so that we can build planters for each class in the school. Watch this space for future progress reports.
