The Rotary Club of Andover has launched a fund to support local charities to help those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the past few months Members have been unable to meet in the usual way but instead Club Members have been holding weekly meetings online using Zoom. Arising out of these meetings came the idea to raise funds to help those most adversely affected by this terrible virus. Covid-19 has had a devastating impact upon individuals and families; bringing illness, mental strain and financial ruin to so many. The Club recognises there is going to be huge demand for local charities to support those people in need. The Club is therefore being guided by Test Valley Social Services and Unity as to which local charities need our help.
The Funds raised will enable quick immediate access to funding to enable local charities to get on with supporting the most in need of support
Please help us to support the local charities and community groups who are already doing wonderful work to help people in need in our local community. No money will go towards the running costs of any charity and 100% of donations will benefit those in need.

Grants And Available Funds For Those In Need
Sadly the Covid infection rate is going up and the Job Retention scheme is drawing to a close. We expect that this will lead to an increase in the number of people in our community who will need support. Local charities have done a fantastic job in supporting those in need. To help with this the Rotary Club of Andover's Covid-19 Emergency Fund has already made grants totalling £2,500 to local charirities. The good news is that more funds are available and new requests from charities for grants can now be considered. Enquiries for grants of up to £500 should be sent to the Club Treasurer David Moulton at dwmoulton@yahoo.com
