President's Visit to Tameside Radio

Tameside Rotary - take to the airwaves again

Great to be back at Tameside Radio today to update listeners re how we’ve continued to help our community during lockdown & what we’ve got planned for the future.

We talked about how our Club delivered PPE equipment & Ipads to local care homes & Willow Wood Hospice, how our virtual Derby Day horse race in April  raised £500+ for charities helping residents during the pandemic, our annual Golf Day next Wednesday August 19th at Werneth Low Golf Club for Willow Wood, & our planned virtual Beer Fest coming up soon as we’ve sadly had to postpone our annual ‘physical’ Beer Fest in September.

We donate to between 50 & 60 charities each year & hope to do so again but obviously the amount we have available will be seriously depleted, as are everyone’s funds, due to COVID 19

We’ve more ideas & events planned so will be returning soon to give full details of our virtual Beer Fest, Santa Sleigh & much more
