Rotary Charity Golf Day

This year's Golf Day was held on Wednesday 9 September 2020

The Annual Golf Day was held on Wednesday 9 September 2020 at Middleton Hall Golf Club.  Some 17 teams took part and it is hope that when all the sponsorship money has come in over £6000 will have been raised to support the Club’s charity and community work.  To ensure social distancing the teams registered and teed off at ten minutes intervals.  When they returned to the clubhouse they had a meal but did not stay for any presentations as would normally have been the case.
The winning team was that led by Neil Frary.  A member from another team (that from Stephenson Smart) achieved a hole in one but unfortunately it was not the hole that would have won him a car!
Our grateful thanks go to our sponsors and also to Mike and Mandy at the Golf Club for making the day run smoothly.
The photograph shows the first team to tee off (at 9 am). It was captained by Past President Steve Roberts.  The second photo shows this year’s organiser Mark Walker together with Geoff Cheney, Pip Rippengill and Helen Rippengill who were helping with the registration of teams and the selling of raffle tickets.
