In addition to Belsay School crocuses were also distributed and planted at the following local schools; Stamfordham, Heddon-on-the-Wall, Ponteland Community (formerly Ponteland Middle) and Darras Hall Primary.

Children's boat race was won by Gracie aged 7, the runner up was Tilly Aged 10, sisters from Monkseaton.
