Senior Vice-President Charles Keeper welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Tonight’s Interesting Rotary Information highlighted a campaign – “Keep Scotland Beautiful – Summer Clean 2021”

This project will run from 28th May to 20th June. Rotary Clubs in all three districts in Scotland are being encouraged to participate by organising a litter picking event or some other community project.  To assist with the planning, KSB will produce a Clean-up Scotland supporters’ pack and communications pack.

It was thought that our Club could organise a litter picking project in our local community.

Foundation:

Willie Talbot reported that the bonus ball had been another roll-over, meaning four weeks’ money would be available to a lucky winner next week

Treasurer’s Report:

The agreed donation of £250, to train 50 healthcare professions to combat Covid-19 in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu, had been sent via the Rotary Club of Kilsyth.

It was agreed to send £1300 from our Foundation Fund to Rotary GB&I Foundation, specifying 50% was to go to “End Polio Now” and 50% to the general Rotary GB&I Foundation Fund.

Ratification of A.G.M. Minutes:

With the inclusion of John Robson’s apologies for absence, the minutes of the AGM held on 6th May 2021 were adopted as a true record, proposed by James Gibbons and seconded by Charles Keeper.

Social Chat:

Callan split the meeting into three groups and three rotations took place at 10-15 minute intervals.
