George English spoke to us on 'The Mayflower' in January. This Zoom talk looks at researching family history and bringing your ancestors to life.


George English is Director of Family History service, Research Through Peopleand Secretary of Kilmarnock Rotary Club. He has many years of experience of genealogical research, and has published articles in UK, USA and other parts of the world.

His talk covers the factors involved in researching family history and bringing your ancestors to life. It will include information about the origins of surnames; and be tailored to the audience with local and wider examples.

Supported by New Forest Rotary the Annual Gateway Games at Brockenhurst College attracted over 40 competitors with learning difficulties. Eastleigh won with New Milton 'M Chicks' winning the annual Rotary trophy for team spirit.
