Big Yellow Bus Clean up - local firm offers to remove rubbish without charge

Rotary Club arranges clean up of accumulation of mixed waste and general rubbish at the Big Yellow Bus site.

The Big Yellow Bus night shelter for the homeless in Cirencester was forced to cease operation in March 2020 when the Coronavirus first lock-down was announced by HMG.  This resulted in the accumulation of  several waste bins and general mixed waste adjacent to the Bus which became unsightly and potentially hazardous.

A licensed waste collection and carrier company based in Gloucester, County Clearance, was contacted to help perform a complete clean-up.  County Clearance arrived as arranged and helped to remove everything and carefully loaded it into their collection van and thoroughly swept the affected area clean.

Proprietor Kevin Burge was interested in the background of the Big Yellow Bus and the charitable support given by the Rotary Club of Cirencester, so much so that after learning the story he offered to carry out the works and disposal of waste that day free of charge!

Such an unprompted community spirited gesture cannot go without a note deep appreciation.  Our sincere thanks go to Kevin at County Clearance.
