My Happiest Day

That night in May 2019, it couldn't get much better than that. One of the best games I have watched, after Barcelona beating Liverpool 3-0 at their stadium. We came back at Anfield Stadium better than ever, beating them a massive 4-0. Divock scored into The Kop. After that game, they just kept thriving even more. Now one year later they are still going strong. After 30 years, they are rewriting history for winning the premier league.

A year on from that the game that was the decider of Liverpool winning the league. Manchester City - Chelsea. For once in our life we were cheering on Chelsea, we really needed Chelsea to win that night because that meant we knew that Liverpool won the league. My whole family were watching that game and anxiously waiting for the full-time whistle to blow. Finally, the full-time whistle went, we all went mad because the score was 2-1 to Chelsea. LIVERPOOL WON THE LEAGUE. Every game after that was just so exciting because we knew we were Champions but we still didn't have our Crown. I didn't really know how to feel because I was excited, nervous, anxious, happy, I was all of those feeling mixed together. I also saw people that I really look up to cry with happiness, such as my grandad. He was crying with happiness and that made me think wow, this is a really big deal because my grandad does not cry that much. I was really proud of my team.

Finally, it was 22nd July 2020, the day they were Crowned the premier league winners. That whole day I was excited and I really wanted to say that my team are the premier league winners of 2019/20. That whole day I was thinking Liverpool are the best. There final game they were crowned the premier league winners they played Chelsea and bet them 5-3. They went to the locker room before they got handed the trophy. As I follow the Liverpool players on Instagram, I could see they were all doing Instagram lives in the locker rooms and dying their hair red. When they went out to the stand where they will lift the trophy, one by one the players got their medals, then it was Henderson's (team captain) turn. As he lifted the trophy and did his famous shuffle, shivers went down my spine. This was my happiest day.

Lockdown took the real experience away from them but they still lifted it and even better than any other team has done before. It was one of my favourite things I have ever watched on television. If it wasn't for lockdown this year, me and my whole family would have been down at Anfield, doing the tour again and getting our photos done with the new beautiful shiny trophy. Anfield is one of my favourite places. Never have I ever loved a place so much, it is amazing and you learn all about the history behind Liverpool. Hopefully when it is safe to do so I will be back down in Liverpool, at Anfield seeing the new trophy.

The day Liverpool lifted the premier league trophy was by far my happiest day.
I am proud to support Liverpool either if we win, draw or lose.

My happiest day

This is going to be a made up story about me going to a Juventas game.

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, the alarm sounded as it was 5.00 A.M. My Mum and dad told me to get showered and changed, finally the day had arrived where we were off to see my favourite team {Juventas} play in the champions league final against Bayern Munich FC.

Extremely excited for today ,I had packed all of my Juventas gear for on the way there I was going to wear my black, white and gold tracksuit and at the game my Navy Blue third kit with Ronaldo No. 7 on the back.

Arriving at the airport, we went through security and found a café to get a big cooked breakfast to keep us going for the day. We had: sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding, beans, toast. Before we knew it, it was time to board the plane. We were meant to be in the normal part of the plane but when the Italian flight attendants seen me fully kitted in my Juventas stuff they chatted amongst themselves and ussured us into first class. My mum and dads faces lit up, it made me giggle.

"Amazing!!" at the airport, we went through security and found a café to get a big cooked breakfast to keep us going for the day. We hade sausages, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding, beans, toast. Before we knew it, it was time to board the plane. We were meant to be in the normal part of the plane, but when the Italian flight attendants seen me fully kitted in my Juventas stuff they chatted amongst themselves and ussured us into first class, my mum and dads faces lit up, it made me giggle.

"Amazing!!" I said with joy, first class was like a dream, leather seats, TV's on the back of seats, arm wrests, and the best of all free food. The flight from Edinburgh to London was to be 1hr and 30 mins and London to turin is 2 hrs. We all had our feet up the whole time making the best of first class. The flight attendants kept topping up my juice and my mum and dads wine without anyone asking, They were as nice as a pie.

Landing in Turin, Italy, the sun was shining, there was not a cloud to be seen in the sky. We went into the private taxi which was taking us to Turin palace hotel where I would get changed into my No. 7 Ronaldo Navy blue kit and when we arrived at the hotel I could not believe my eyes it was so cool, we went to check in I couldn't wait to see our room. Oh My Gosh our room as like a palace huge beds, ensuite with a huge bath and there was a terrace outside. I had got changed and it was time to go.

Amazingly we arrived at the Juventas Stadium (Allianz Stadium) We headed up to our seats and the atmosphere was electric. Suddenly the players started walking out, my legs turned to jelly, it cant be, but it is, it cant, it was my favourite player Ronaldo. The game began the noise around me was incredible, the crowd was singing and dancing, then Weston McKennie chipped a through ball to Ronaldo and all he had to do was beat the last defender "yes" he did he was through and he dinked the ball over the keeper. What a goal!! Time went fast, the referee was reaching for his whistle, Juventas had won the UEFA champions league final and were about to lift the trophy the crowd erupted.

My Happiest Day
SIX the Musical
Tess Brown: 13 Years Old

My cousin has seen SIX the Musical about a million times. She's obsessed! Once when she came round to my house, she kept going on about how it would be on TV that day. I wasn't interested. I hated musicals. So when the time came, I wasn't really bothered. But then it started. The lights on the stage started flashing, the music screaming. And I knew I had to go and see it live. It was entrancing. I was delighted when my mum bought us tickets to go with my auntie and cousin. I couldn't believe my luck that SIX were touring in Edinburgh! Unfortunately, we had to keep it secret, as my sister wasn't allowed to go, although she did find out on the day and screamed the house down in rage at being left behind. Luckily, my mum and I were already out the door.

Our train sped like a race car towards its destination. When we arrived, we went to a restaurant to have a quick dinner. Thinking back, I don't remember much about the meal; I was too excited. I'm sure the food was heavenly, but my mind had wandered elsewhere.

Once we had found our seats and sat down, the lights dimmed, and the crowd hushed. Somehow, the silence was even louder than the deafening chorus from seconds before. Adrenaline was shooting through my veins like rockets. I was frozen in wonder. Looking back, I don't think I moved or spoke at all! The music was blasting out, hurting my ears, but that was the last thing on my mind. Dancing around the stage, the Queens sang their hearts out. They had the voices of angels, singing me the ballads of their lives, 500 years ago. From the edge of my seat, I could see their unique costumes in vibrant colours, blue, gold, green, moving synchronised across the stage. I could taste the excitement and awe of the mesmerising performance in the air. It was heaven.

I remember being devastated when it was over. Which was strange because I had always hated musicals. But this one was different. Swarming like bees, the crowd rushed towards the exits, but we remained seated. When my mum asked if I had enjoyed it, I couldn't speak, I couldn't even nod. But my expression must have given away how overjoyed I was, because she grinned and said she'd thought it was amazing too. After a while, I managed to snap out of my trance.

My cousin wanted us to go to the stage door to meet the cast as they left, and I was too busy replaying all the musical numbers in my head to mind. We'd stood outside for about ten minutes, when it started to rain. It wasn't too bad at first, but it got heavier and heavier, until it was coming down like bullets out of a gun! Eventually, one of the queens came out, but only after about an hour of waiting. Not exactly worth it. But despite everything, it was still a miraculous day. One day in the future, I hope to go again. I was supposed to get my chance this May, but of course, it was cancelled. I am still desperate to go though and am certain I'll get my chance soon.

Connections

Lights off, door shut and game mode on. Darren wasn't an average 12 year old boy. Like most, he loved his games console and rarely came out of his room. But Darren always had his controller in hand and whenever anybody came into his room, he told them to get out. During the holidays Darren wouldn't go outside, even in the summer. He was completely addicted to his games console.

Every year Darren's family go to Calais, a town in the north of France to go camping. Obviously he wasn't a fan of this as there was no Wi-Fi, and dreaded going every time. He had to go though because otherwise he would have to stay with his grandparents, and he definitely did not want to do that. When Darren and his family arrived in Calais the unpacked and set up the tents. He and his dad would share one tent and his sister and his mum would share the other. They always went to the same site every year, as this is where his dad went when he was a boy... They all went to the nearest corner shop and bought supplies. Darren and his sister waited outside for their parents.

When they were on their way back from the shop, there was a town festival with stalls, games, prizes, bunting and a video game booth. When Darren saw the video game booth, he was trying not to tell anyone. He was desperate to play as he hadn't played for 2 days. When they got into the fete, they all split up and went off to the stalls that they wanted tom go to. As expected, Darren discretely went off to the video game stall. He was having so much fun and lost track of time. When he finished one game, he always said just one more. This was how Darren operated. By the time he was finished it was 8pm, and all of his family were back at the site. He had to get back before they noticed he was gone. Darren was trying to be as fast and quiet and possible as there were people around. It was starting to get dark and he really didn't like being out at night, especially at a place he didn't know. He took a shortcut through the forest which was right next to the campsite. As he was coming out, he saw a shadow behind him. It grew larger, and larger, and larger. He turned round and there was nothing there. He carried on running as he was horrified. He saw it again. "HELLLPPPP!!!" he screamed. His family jumped up and ran towards the forest. The shadow followed him out of the forest. When Darren escaped, he ran right into his family. "ROOAARRR!" screamed the monster.

"It's there!" cried Darren.

"There's nothing there," replied his dad. It was true. Darren had spent too much time playing video games that he was now seeing things.

After this Darren wasn't connected to Wi-Fi, but connected more to his family and spent more time with them than the device.

My Happiest Day

Slowly, I opened my frost encrusted eyes and looked out of the doorway I had been sleeping in. It had snowed in the night and now the pavement was covered in a thick blanket of white. I stretched my stiff limbs and went off to look for some breakfast.

Despite the world being covered in snow, there were plenty of people walking around the town, so I sat down in my usual spot and stared up pleadingly at the passersby. Most of them didn't give me a second glance and those who did just looked at me pityingly and walked away.

I was freezing from just sitting in the snow and it was clear that the people had better things to do so I tried cozying up to the other beggars but most of them just shooed me away and told me to go back home to my family. That made me sad because they had abandoned me long ago, but I couldn't just curl up and cry because I would freeze so I moved on to the next person and stared at the sausage roll they were holding. They looked at me pityingly and started to break a bit off for me but then their dog barked at me and I ran away scared.

I guessed that it was about midday now because the loud bell had rung twelve times, and everyone seemed to be holding a sausage roll or sandwich and those that weren't were clutching steaming cups of coffee with gloved hands.

My stomach gave a loud rumble, but everyone was too busy to notice so I gave up and found a quiet spot at the edge of the pavement and curled up as small as I could to keep warm. But soon dark clouds gathered overhead and snow drifted down once more.

Just then, I heard footsteps approaching me, but I was too cold to get up and see. I lay where I was and waited for the person to pass. Surprisingly, they didn't. The footsteps paused in front of me and then I felt a warm hand gently stroke my back.

"Hello" a voice said.

I looked up at her, hopefully wondering if she had food for me. She seemed to know what I was thinking and shook her head.

"Sorry, I'm afraid I haven't got anything for you".

"Come on, let's go," called a voice from behind her.

I expected her to turn and go but instead, she told her friends to go without her because she was going to take me to the vet and find my owner.

I was worried when she said that, but the vet was kind and gentle to me and gave me some food and a warm blanket. I fell asleep after that, but I was woken up again by the vet.

She told me that the person that brought me here was still here and that she wanted to adopt me. I sat up properly and meowed excitedly. The vet laughed and told the person that

I seemed happy about that arrangement, so it was agreed I had an owner again.

After that, we went home and had dinner, then I went to sleep in my new bed, and that was my happiest day ever.

My Happiest Day

This is my Happiest Day, this will involve my mum, dad, sister and I. So one day every single winter we go to a show called Winter Wonderland, it is a winter paradise full of thrill rides and food stands. Ever since I was little my family and I have attended this and it never gets old. Winter Wonderland is hosted every year in Edinburgh and luckily we take the train to get there.

As well as the joy of going to this fair we get to board the train. Dad and I followed my sister and mum as we took our seats on the packed carriage. It smelt like cosy, velvet seats and ladies perfume but they wasn't why I liked it. The reason I loved it was because of the magnificant views we got when eventually crossing over the bridge, you could see small and large boats bobbing through the water and depending on the weather the sunshine shone down on them making them glimmer like diamonds. We always take funny selfies and that helps brighten up the mood as people aren't very excited on trains for some reason but I rather enjoy them?

Slowly, we entered Waverley Station, once the train slowed to a halt the passengers and us began to exit the train and jump onto the platform. The bustling station in front of us was awaiting our arrival, all you can hear is the sound of trains arriving and departing, the smell of smoke hanging in the air and people dashing up and down catching their train. We managed to make our way through the security gates and up the escalators until finally we had arrived!!!

One we had finally entered Winter Wonderland, the smell of food and the screams of people took over. My dad and I normally ride the more adventurous rides while my sister rides the more relaxed rides or the Big Wheel that has the most breathtaking views. Everyone's most favourite thing in Winter Wonderland is the endless food supply. My sister and I's favourite indulgences at the food markets are they're delicious chips and scrumptious churros which you can get hot and fresh from the stands. The first ride that my dad and I went on was the Yeti, it is one of the fastest rides there are and my mum felt sick just watching us on it. As we took our seats on one of the carts they began to slowly turn and in no time we were spinning around so fast that it was hard to concentrate on anything else. I was screaming with joy and once it stopped I was dying to go on it again. Next up was the Waltzers, usually the waltzers aren't very fast but they spun so rapidly that I felt quite sick. One time while riding them, we were going as slow as a deflating balloon until an assistant gave us a push and in no time we were going faster than everyone else!! After that we went on the Forth One Big Wheel, it overlooked the fair and as far as the eye can see. Once you reach the top you heart almost skips a beat as the view takes you aback .When the sun is setting in the horizon it makes it so much more magical and you don't realise how beautiful a crowded city could be. Finally, my sister and I went on some smaller rides until we
Sadly, we had to leave and go back home. Also, since we go in the daytime we don't get to see the lights that brighten up Winter Wonderland at night but if we go again I would like to see them. When we were able to catch the train back home I was absolutely exhausted. Thankfully, the train took us back in no time. Once we arrived back home all I wanted to do was relax and reflect on my happiest day ever!

My Happiest Day

I had a good think about this, and it wasn't hard to work out my happiest day, after all we have been like prisoners in our own homes for most of boring 2020. It was Christmas day! I probably don't have to point out why it was, obviously because I woke up to lots of presents and this time, I had no clue what I was getting as I didn't write a list this year. But my other reason I loved this day was because I was getting to spend the day with my family! I was so relieved when I found this out. Like most people, I've hardly spent any time with my grandma, my two grandpas and my auntie Katie in 2020, and at one point we were even unsure about Christmas day!

So, after present opening and breakfast, me and my brother, Derran, walked our pup, Farrah to my grandma and grandpa's house. My mum, stepdad, and sister Sophie drove there. My stepdad then met us with my grandmas' dog, Fergus and we all walked to the glen for about 20 minutes and then down to grandma and grandpas. There was a reason we let the dogs meet beforehand...because we predicted how hyper they would be and wanted them to burn off some energy so that us humans could enjoy Christmas day!!

Of course, we stuck to the COVID-19 guidelines and didn't kiss and cuddle, but it was brilliant to see everyone and relax in my grandma's house, even though she kept all the windows open - brrrrr. First off, we opened more presents then we played a game called the 'newspaper game'. The rules are teams of 2 and a host. Each team has a copy of the same newspaper. We had 5 minutes to familiarize ourselves with the paper and all the stories and adverts. The host (my mum) then shouted out questions and in our teams, we had to find the answer in the newspaper. Whoever found the answer had to raise our hand and say 'Santa Clause'. The team with the most points at the end wins and if there is a tie, we do a tiebreaker. Grandpa and my stepdads team won-boo!

We then had dinner. We have a traditional Christmas dinner. Our starters were prawn cocktail or soup. For our main course, we had turkey with all the trimmings. It was delicious. Then for desserts we had the choice of 3 different puddings. I was stuffed like a whale by the time we finished. After, we sat and chatted more with music in the background. Then myself, mum, stepdad, Derran and Sophie walked home with Farrah. We left our presents to collect the next day. When we arrived home, we all helped tidy up the mess from morning time then sat and watched TV. I got David Walliams Cluedo, so we all sat around the table and played that too.

I had such a great day and spent it with all the people I wanted too. It was slightly tinged with sadness as we knew we were going into lockdown again within a few hours. So, we made sure we had the best day ever with all my favourite people in the world.

(542 words)

My happiest day was when my Mum and Dad took me and my sister to a waterpark! We went last year, just after the first lockdown ended, so it was great to go somewhere different after being at home for a few months.

We went to France camping for a few weeks which was marvelous! While at the beach I saw a plane flying across the blue sky with an advertisement for a waterpark. Eventually, my sister and I persuaded Mum and Dad to go, and it was amazing!

When we walked in the next day the first thing I saw was a big water fountain with lots of fish swimming around at the bottom. Most of the fish were shiny orange goldfish that had varing sizes, some were a creamy white colour with grey-black spots. Additionally, there were silvery-pink fish that were all quite small. Nevertheless, the small silvery-pink fish were still quite noticeable because of how quickly they moved through the water.

The first slide we went on had four sections, and it was really fast! There were steep metal stairs on either side, and at the top you were given a red mat to sit on. Then you would fly down and land with a splash at the bottom!

Some time later, Eilidh (my sister) spotted a massive orange U-shaped slide with a stretching queue. We left the queue for a while to get some food, resulting in the line being shorter when we got back. We were on it and it was great! Everyone went up to the top and they gave Mum a raft, and Mum and I sat in one and and went zooming down and up the other side!

The last thing I did before we left was a slide called The Rocket; a vertical light blue tube with metal stairs and platforms dotted around. Eilidh was too young to go on, Dad was getting a drink, and Mum had to stay with Eilidh so I went up by myself.

I stood on a trapdoor inside a rocket-shaped capsule. While waiting for the trapdoor to open, there was a light voice counting down from ten. At five, I was feeling nervous. At three I was wondering whether I had gone to the bathroom recently enough. At one, I didn't have time to think of anything, because the trapdoor had split apart and I was rushing downwards at top speed!

Before I knew it was over, I was begging my Mum to let me go on again, remembering how ten seconds ago I was willing to give anything not to go on the slide.

Connections
How humans are connected to wildlife!

You may know that humans are connected to wildlife in many of different ways, but if you didn't don't worry because I'm going to explain how.

Trees

First thing that connects humans and wildlife is, trees. Trees are what we get our oxygen from. Trees are also a part of nature which means their part of wildlife. Our oxygen comes from trees and we also get paper, from them. Trees are very useful in our lives; well, I mean their what keep us alive! You probably already know this but, 15 billion trees are cut down ever year. This does supply us with paper but it's ruining our animal habitats. Even though trees our very useful we need to be careful on what we do as we wouldn't like it if animals destroyed 15 billion of our homes ever year.

Mammals

You may not have known this but we are actually mammals. Yes, mammals are an animal but that's what humans are too, so I guess you could say we our just a smarter type of animal? This connection is quite a main one in the connection of wildlife to humans as this is basically meaning we are an animal too. Not all animals are mammals though! A mammal is a type of animal that has hair on its body, that's why we are a mammal, as we grow hair on our body's. Some different types of mammals are, monkeys, meerkats, pandas, any type of bear, elephants, tigers, lions, wolfs, dogs, cats, cows, horses, kangaroos, foxes, giraffes, seals, deer, etc.

How we are hurting the world

In addition to this, it has been widely reported how we are hurting the planet and animals by our actions. This also connects us to wildlife as we are destroying it. Some things we are doing to hurt wildlife are putting plastic in the ocean, cutting down trees, ruining habitats to make farms, hunting animals, etc. This isn't good and, no, I am not saying that we can't cut down trees for paper or make farms, or to stop hunting animals for our food, or stop using plastic fully, but what I am saying is how we should cut down on the amount we do these things. For example, instead of cutting down 15 billion trees a year maybe low it down to 5 billion instead, or even charge more for using plastic so people stop using it so much.

It is quite clear that we are connected to wildlife, in lots of different ways, with trees, mammals and even how we our hurting the world.

A Happy Day

Before you read this you will need to know that I am half Irish and half Scottish. This means that I always must go on an airplane t0 see my family, otherwise I only see them on facetime.

The day my first baby cousin was born was an amazing day for my family and me. It was on the 15.7.19. This very special day was the same day we were travelling over the sea from Scotland to Dublin to see my Irish family (and the baby cousin if she was born!).

Just before we left for the airport, a picture message arrived on Mum's phone. To our surprise it was a photo of a cute but tired looking baby and it said underneath "The baby is born! Can't wait to see you love from Orla xx". We were all so excited that we jumped up and down.

When we went to Dublin, we couldn't see Orla until the last day because she was still in hospital and children weren't allowed visit. Happily we got to spend time with my Nana and Grandad and Toto (he is my uncle). Finally on the last day we saw her. Tara, my first baby cousin. I was over the moon I finally saw her! she looked less tired then in the first picture and much cuter.

That was really a happy day.

The Confidence-Boosting Ceilidh
Elizabeth Paton: 13 years old
Standing onstage, my heart was hammering heavily as I gazed at the sea of faces in front of me. I took a deep breath. Then another. And another. Trying to stop the fear from bursting out. I felt like a trapped zoo animal with visitors staring at me in an exhibit. I focused on my mum's advice about putting a smile on my face as it would hide my nerves. I was used to painting a mask on my face anyway - I had done it for years, to try and fit in so that nobody would find out my secret. So that they didn't know I wasn't like them. The speakers woke up and crackled before the familiar accordion introduction boomed out. I gulped down the knot in my throat.
It was time.
Adrenaline possessed my body and I gripped the microphone. I towered over everyone at the school, including most of the teachers, so unfortunately, it was positioned way too low! I stooped down and started to sing. The crowd was made up of children and adults, most of them strangers as I had only been at this school for two weeks. After I sang the first line of 'Donald Where's Your Troosers?', I could hear the magical sound of people laughing and clapping along. I suppose the sight of an almost-six-foot tall, ten-year-old wearing huge sunglasses and holding a luminous-green inflatable guitar wasn't something you saw every day. Overjoyed with the crowd's reaction, I felt free. I felt popular. I felt like a popstar performing in front of a packed stadium!
Starting at this school gave me a second chance as nobody knew about my past, or that I had autism. For years at my previous school, I had been bullied by a group of girls who made me feel worthless. I went from someone who loved school into someone who used to dread going in, every single day. For someone with autism, change is not easy but there wasn't really a choice because the girls had turned violent. To be honest, their words hurt more. Starting somewhere new was terrifying: my knees knocked nervously, and my legs were as weak as a butterfly when I walked into the classroom for the first time. I was relieved when I recognised a few friendly faces from my swimming and art classes, so I did not mind when people's heads popped up like meerkats as I made the long trip to my seat.
It took a while for me to settle in and make friends but performing in the ceilidh helped as I became 'famous' throughout the school. Although I'm still awkward around new people, it's different on the stage. I feel as free as Billy Elliot when he's dancing. By the end of the performance, I no longer felt like an outsider as everyone knew my name. As my voice faded, it was overpowered by the thunderous applause and cheers from the crowd. The noise filled the assembly hall, the sound drowning out the insults that still haunted me.
I was no longer the 'BFG' (the 'Big Friendly Girl') or "the fat cow". I was just me.

My Happiest Day
Alana Schofield: 13 Years old

The feeling of excitement rippled through my body when I stepped onto the lumpy pebbled driveway. I bounded over and into my grandparents' car. Once I got in, I shouted "I'm a big sister! I have a little brother!" The car was cool but the sun shining through the tinted windows felt like a toasty warm hug. My anticipation had poured billions of butterflies into my stomach and now were trying escape. The sound of the four big grippy tyres on the motorway and the familiar murmur of my grandparents' chatter were drowned out by my excited thoughts as we got neared the hospital.

The severe scent of the musky hospital aroma assaulted my nose as I was lead around the hectic maze of fancy lifts, busy people, and an array of wards. The maternity ward was oddly quiet with only a very scattered amount of people unlike the rest of the hospital. The staff were all kind and welcoming, they had a certain warmth to them. As soon as I walked through the small doorway into the cosy room, I was extraordinarily happy as this was the moment I had been waiting for forever. I was told to sit in a hard, sticky red chair in the corner of the room. A soft, squashy pillow was placed on my lap. The new bundle of joy and warmth was placed into my arms. He had gorgeous large brown eyes that stared up to my loving eyes. My adorable baby brother glowed when he was placed in front of me because he was the only thing that mattered. My brother was wrapped in a clean, baggy white panda sleepsuit, his hands were wrinkled but his grip was soft and comforting on my little finger. When he was in my arms it felt like time had stopped and a very particular wave of calmness floated around the two of us. The loud click of cameras was echoed off the high ceiling and close walls as everyone captured the special time to keep forever.

My face ached from smiling an incredibly proud smile to the cameras.

The dazzling sun had blinded me as I stepped out onto the smooth neatly paved bricks outside the loud hospital doors. The sun was happy as it danced around the few fluffy white clouds that were left in the sky. I clambered eagerly into the back of baking hot the car alongside my new brother. The car door was slammed shut and we were to take my beautiful brother to our home. I watched over his dark grey car seat the entire ride to make sure he was safe. I let him use his tiny silky hands to grip onto my finger on the journey home as well. He stayed quiet on the way home; he was taking in his new surroundings. I thought that the car could not get home fast enough. I really wanted to get back home to show everyone that was waiting at home my tiny new brother.

"I can't wait to show you the world." I whispered to his little face.

My happiest day
By Deborah Scott

Before I tell you about "My Happiest Day ", I want to tell you a bit about myself. Okay, I am Deborah Scott, I am 8 years old, I like singing, dancing, baking and sport.

Now this is the tale of My Happiest Day.

My Happiest Day was when my friend Heidi was turning 8. I was at my Grandma and Grandad's and I had been invited to her birthday party. I was very, very excited! I had never been to Heidi's birthday party before!!

My Grandma told me it was a beach party and I thought it was a beach themed party at her house but it was actually a party at the beach! I was so excited!! I got dressed into my party clothes. I had put pink hair chalk and pink glitter hair spray. It looked amazing! When it was time to go, I put on my favorite shoes and set off to her house which was only a few minutes away. When I got there, she was waiting in her mum's massive car which had lots of seats even two seats in the boot! I went in the middle compartment on the way and on the way back I went in the boot. I then got in the car and we picked up more of Heidi's friends. Some were at home and some were at school. Then we went to the shops and bought sweets, crisps and drinks. After that we went back in the car and headed to the beach. I was so excited I got dressed into my bikini. Then I went into the sea. There was jellyfish. Dead jellyfish. Phew!! I then had some crisps (French Fries!) and a drink (Blackcurrant). After that I went back into the sea for a bit. We then went to the toilets and got dried.
Then I got changed back into my party clothes and after that we went for dinner. For dinner we went to the Dawlish Tavern. I had chicken nuggets, chips and peas. Something funny happened after that! A seagull came and perched on top of the wall that we were sitting in front of and had it's butt sticking our way. I was scared that it was going to poo on our food!! Thankfully, it didn't and moved after a bit. That was nerve racking!! Once we had finished our food

we went to the amusement park!!! It was so fun!!First we went on the rollercoaster (Twice, in fact!!!) then after that we went on the pirate ship four times. The pirate ship tickled my tummy!! Then after that we each got a party bag and dropped us off home. I was so happy because my mum and dad had come back!!!

Well now you know the tale of my happiest day! I hope you enjoyed it!!!

Bye,
Deborah Scott.xxx
