2020 Beirut explosion

Through our engagement with Rotary Beirut Cosmopolitan we donated £600 towards the rebuilding costs following the devastating explosion in the city's port area

On 14th September we were joined at our evening Zoom meeting by President Habib Saba and Secretary Farida Naijar from Rotary Beirut Cosmopolitan

They shared with us horrific experiences of and following the explosion and how Rotary are supporting the rebuilding of a paediatric hospital. Rotary Bridgend are extremley pleased to have coordinating this meeting which brought together Rotarians from across the world, people who just get on with what needs to be done, bypassing bureaucracy and focussing on addressing needs.
