Tameside Rotary Hands out dictionaries to Year 6 pupils

61 year 6 pupils at Greenfield  Academy, Hyde were presented with a Dictionary from Tameside Rotary Club at their school  Assembly today. Each dictionary given had been personalised, and signed by our Rotary President.

This is the fourteenth School in Tameside to have been included in Rotary’s DICTIONARY4LIFE project during the last few years. By encouraging the intelligent and self guided use of dictionaries, learners become more independent.  The dictionaries are especially written for year 6 pupils’ age group.

As pupils move on to secondary schools, we, as Rotarians, hope they find their dictionaries useful and keep them for life.

We wish them all an enjoyable and happy new era of their education.
