Neville Wells' long service award

Still playing an active role in Rotary after 60 years of service, well known Limpsfield resident and former airline pilot Neville Wells was caught unawares by the presentation of a new honour at last week's Rotary meeting.

Neville was a founder member of the Rotary Club of Westerham in 1961, and has been club President twice. He helped to forge the club's link with the Rotary Club of Yvetot in northern France, and has been a frequent visitor there ever since. Congratulating Neville on his award, which is effectively an "and bar" to the Paul Harris Fellow award which Neville received from Rotary for his Community and fundraising work some years ago, Rotary Club member Zena Belton said " Well deserved Neville - who could merit the honour more? You helped found the Westerham Rotary Club and have continued to participate in many roles for well over half a century.
