Award of £1000 for Overseas project

The Rotary Clubs of Stockport lamplighter and Bramhall and Woodford have come together to offer a £1000 award for a deserving student project


This is a joint venture between the Rotary Club of Stockport Lamplighter and the Rotary Club of Bramhall and Woodford.

The Award of £1000 is to support a student on a work placement in a developing country .

The  work placement can either be voluntary or part of a degree programme.

Applications are particularly welcomed from students who will be working with disadvantaged communities in any of Rotary's seven Areas of Focus.

  • Peace and Conflct prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and Sanitation
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic Education and literacy
  • Economic and community development
  • Supporting the environment

Please send an email to Dr Najib Yousif (najib.yousif@btinternet.com) attaching a brief CV and a one page statement of how and when the award would be used .

Application deadline for receipt is 28th February 2022
