Social, Vocation & Friendship

Whilst our Club is one which does things to help those who need help both in our local community and elsewhere, we have created an environment where friendships are forged and where we enjoy ourselves in a social way.

Whilst our Club is one which does things to help those who need help both in our local community and elsewhere, we have created an environment where friendships are forged and where we enjoy ourselves in a social way.

You can get involved as much or as little as you like.

Together with partners we have regular social and convivial events. These happen throughout the year and are a combination of activities including informal and more formal dinners, dances, visits to local theatres and shows, sporting events etc etc.

Vocational visits are arranged whereby the Club gets an insight into major projects and public and commercial initiatives locally, interspersed with visits to places of interest further afield. These are often accompanied by presentations by specialist representatives and when questioning is encouraged.

We have, for example, organised rambles where we get to know our local environment and enjoy the benefits of exercise in some wonderful settings.

Members are also encouraged to offer suggestions and we try and fit them into the Club’s busy calendar of events.

We believe that physical and mental health is important and our Members remain young at heart.
