At the Rotary Changeover the new President on behalf of the Club presented a Paul Harris Fellowship, the highest award in Rotary, to Paula Hall, the Chief Executive of the Purfleet Trust in recognition of her work for the charity which was set up in 1993 to provide help for single homeless people in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Its services include housing advice, help with accommodation and seeking work, the provision of hot meals and a gym, as well as the opportunity to gain essential life skills. Under Paula’s leadership the charity has gone from strength to strength and is recognised widely for the work it does. She was delighted with the award which came as a complete surprise. However she stressed the importance of the work done by her staff and volunteers as well as herself.
