Dear Rotarians,
Thank you to everybody at The Rotary Club of Cheltenham North.
It has been an incredibly difficult year around the planet. For families who have fled Ukraine,
things have gotten even more extreme. The number of people who've had to leave their
homes is close to 10 million - that's almost a quarter of Ukraine's population.
ShelterBox currently have a team in Moldova who are coordinating with partners in Poland and Ukraine. We are currently working on three projects - two within Ukraine and one supporting those fleeing the country" lt is because of support like yours thatwe are able to take this action.
Thank you for your supporl.
SneiterBox Cnief Executive, Sai-ij Srikarrthan, said, "We are vVitnessirrg a vast irrinianii.aiiarr .i'isis
unfold. With every hour that passes more and more people are fleeing Ukraine, desperately
seeking safety and refuge. Hundreds of thousands of people have already crossed Ukraine's
borders and that number is rising quickly as the situation continues to deteriorate. The indications
are that this will not be a short conflict."
Your club's donation of t500.00 will help us provide vulnerable families across the world with a
place to call home after they have been displaced. We are currently supporting the situation in
Ukraine but also displaced families in Syria, Yemen, Mozambique, Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina
Faso and Ethiopia. This is only made possible because of support like yours.
When people are forced to flee their homes leaving their possessions and livelihoods behind,
emergency shelter can save lives, and be the first step to recovery. From all of us at ShelterBox,
and more importantly from the families who can now rebuild, thank you.
With warm wishes,
Phil, on behalf of your Supporter Care Team
