Fundraising

Our Fundraising Committee take on the challenge of raising funds to meet our activities and donations to charities and organisations.

As well as our Santa Sleigh activity during December the Elves were also busy with Christmas Wreaths.  Our first Wreath Making Workshop raised £248.15 and we also sold Wreaths to family and friends raising another £300.00.

We also had a communal Christmas Card that generated £464.56.

In January we held our Annual Quiz Night in partnership with Dacorum Mayor's Office and Dacorum CommunityTrust (DCT).  We raised a large profit of £2460.77, half of which was donated to DCT.

In May we held A Right Royal Garden Party for Club Members and their family and friends.  The food was well received and the members made some excellent desserts and cakes.  We had a Royal Quiz and raffle during the afternoon.  The event raised £537 for Rotary Charities.

For the next Rotary year plans are in hand to hold a Cheese and Wine Evening, the Annual Quiz Night, Christmas Wreaths, a futher garden party and any other ideas we may come up with.
