Coats you no longer need can make a real difference to the homeless and vulnerable this winter. Wrap Up is a project run by several Rotary Clubs working in partnership with Hands On London. Its aim is to provide coats that go directly to people across the UK who struggle to keep warm in the winter months.
From 14th to 28th October our club collected several hunderd coats for those in need.
The stores collecting were :-

more We have placed Buddy Bench signs on 12 benches throughout the Borough and are planning more locations. This is a recent bench at Craig Road Playing Fields.
more For several years some of our club members have helped this charity on a regular basis by delivering hot meals in the Stockport area.
more We are proud to announce that we are now designated as a Stockport Community Champion.
more On Sunday 19th June we held another successful Open Gardens event. The event raised over £9500 for a variety of charities.
more These are realistic looking robotic cats that respond when being handled by people . We provided some for local care homes.
more The club planted up and delivered pots of seasonal plants to 63 local care homes.
more This was our 9th Open Gardens Event and was a welcome opportunity for people to attend an outdoor event in aid of charity.

more In order to highlight the Polio eradication campaign the club has again organised the planting of purple crocus corms in the area. This year some of the planting was done by pupils of Stella Maris school.
