Mobility Scooter for Olga

In November, Olga Tatarensko was presented with a mobility scooter purchased by three Rotary Clubs in the Area - Rotary Club of Rushden, Rotary Club of Thrapston and Raunds, and Rotary Club of Rushden Chichele - helped by a District Grant.

Olga had taken a three day journey from the Ukraine when the war started, in order that she could join her daughter in Rushden. But her mobility meant that she was pretty much confined to the house. Now she is able to visit the park, go to the shops, and collect her grandchildren from school.

We were lucky to be able to get some publicity for this presentation from BBC Look East, and also BBC Radio Northampton.
