The Brentwood, Hutton & Billericay Branch of Blood Cancer UK is appealing for local volunteers to join their fundraising committee.

Blood Cancer UK funds research to help transform the treatment of blood cancer and to save lives, as well as providing advice and support for those affected.

With more than 40,000 people in the UK diagnosed with blood cancer every year, it is the UK's third-biggest cause of cancer deaths, killing more people than either breast or prostate cancers.

To help raise vital funding, the local branch is looking for fundraisers to help with street collections and charity events in Brentwood, Essex and surrounding areas.
