Seven or Eight Year 6 pupils at Hayton School become Rotakids each school term. The current group held two events in the spring term to raise money for Cancer Research, their chosen charity.
Their Pyjama Day in February, which was combined with a Guess the Teddy Name and a Tuck Shop, raised £206. This was added to last week when they supported the school’s invitation to the villagers of a visit the school, by providing an Afternoon Tea which raised £46. The cakes were made by four pupils in the Group and we can vouch for how tasty they were!
To date, the school has raised £682 this academic year, as the autumn term group contributed £430 to James Rennie School, their chosen charity.
