Rotary Star Orla

Awarded in March 2023, our latest Rotary Star is Orla Beale !!


Upwood Primary Academy teachers selected Orla Beale to receive the Rotary Star Award at the end of the Spring term and Rotary President John Yule was delighted to present Orla with a certificate, a badge and a gift voucher. Orla's father has been diagnosed with Leukaemia and Orla raised funds for Leukaemia  Research by organising a 'guessing the number of sweets in a jar' competition for fellow pupils and the staff at the Academy. Orla's family came along to watch the special school assembly and to see Orla receive the award.
