An icon on the outskirts of Halifax

A historic view of the mill

Although ouitside the old borough boundary of Halifax, Black Dyke Mills in Queensbury is often associated with the town as it was a major employer for the local population.

It was also home to the world famous Black Dyke Mills Band who are still in existance today even though the mill is not longer in actions.

The Centenary Viewing Platform at Beacon Hill

back To celebrate 100 years of service to the town of Halifax we have commissioned viewing platform on Beacon Hill overlooking the town. Situated on the Magna Via, an old packhorse route, the walk to the top is worth it.
