Wensleydale Members and their guests were pleased to be joined by fellow Rotarians from Richmond and Northallerton and their guests at the Wyvill Arms.
The guest speaker was Tom Orde Powlett who very kindly came despite the very recent death of his father, Lord Bolton. He is therefore the new Lord Bolton. He fascinated everyone with tales of his ancestors dating back to the Norman conquest, then went on to describe how the Bolton Estate helped with conservation, particularly with the protection of various endangered bird species.
The Handover proceeded with President Elect David Spashett describing the Club's activities over the year, and District Governor David Phillips listing the Club's achievements and praising it for them.
Current President Ray Wilkinson handed over the President's jewel to Incoming President David Spashett. He then placed the Past President's jewel on her.
