Supporting Our Community

Start Up Stirling has been supporting local people in need since 1994. Their project is focused on relieving poverty, suffering and distress of people in crisis across the Stirling Council area, including Callander. People all across the Stirling Council area can find themselves in financial difficulty, poverty or crisis. It can happen to anyone—people find themselves in difficulty, unexpectedly, more often than you might think.

This is where Start Up Stirling comes in.

Start Up Stirling has adapted its services to meet the ever-changing needs of the people within Stirling Council.

They now have 3 key areas of focus:

  • Start Up Foodbanks
  • Start Up Helper Packs
  • Start Up Support
On Saturday 29th July 2023, Rotary in Callander manned a Collection Point in Ancaster Square, from 11 am, so that anyone able to help could contribute food items from the Shopping List or school items from the School Bag Appeal, or indeed money to donate to StartUp Stirling.  We're pleased to say that it was agreat cuccess, with many donations of food, goods and money received.

There were also be fun things for the kids to do - 'Splat the Rat' and 'Dotty Potty'.
